Bryan Schwartz Law Principal Recognized by Daily Journal as a Top California Labor & Employment Lawyer
One of Only 75 Recognized in the State
May 13, 2015, Oakland, CA - The Daily Journal, a leading legal industry publication, has recognized Oakland civil rights attorney Bryan Schwartz as one of the top labor and employment lawyers in California. Only 75 attorneys in California –less than one percent of the practicing labor and employment attorneys in the state – made the list.

Schwartz’s selection comes on the heels of several major litigation victories in recent months, winning summary judgment for a class of real estate appraisers with wage claims against Bank of America, overcoming an agency’s appeal of a decision certifying a class of disabled applicants denied hiring opportunities in the Foreign Service by the U.S. Department of State, prevailing in an appeal on behalf of a San Francisco bus driver who was wrongfully terminated in violation of his Union agreement, defeating attempts by a cosmetology company to dismiss and send to arbitration a suit on behalf of unpaid student-workers, and other successes.
Schwartz has also risen to leadership roles in several major labor and employment law organizations in California, including the State Bar Labor & Employment Law Section (which he will Chair beginning in 2016), the California Employment Lawyers Association, the Legal Aid Society-Employment Law Center, and FAIR (Foundation for Inclusion Advocacy and Resources) – a non-profit dedicated to increasing diversity in the plaintiffs’ employment Bar, of which Schwartz is President.
