Cuenca v. Kaiser

RG20065123 (Alameda Co.): In October 2021, Alameda County Superior Court granted final approval of a $7.4 million class settlement, with corporate changes valued at any additional $9 million, for equal pay claims for over 2,600 Hispanic-Latinx workers. The corporate changes included instituting comprehensive workplace programs to ensure that Hispanic and Latinx employees’ compensation and opportunities for advancement are fair and equitable. The lawsuit was pending less than 1.5 years prior to the settlement approval.
