Cordrey et al. v. Mills

Case No. 22CV011159 (Alameda Co.)

Bryan Schwartz Law, P.C. and and Nichols Kaster, LLP announce that the Alameda County Superior Court has granted final approval of a settlement in a consumer class action lawsuit. Mills College and Northeastern University will pay $1.25 million to 405 former Mills College students in response to allegations of misrepresentation concerning the schools’ merger. The plaintiffs alleged they suffered hardship due to Mills College’s closure as an independent women’s college. Although Mills College and Northeastern University deny the allegations, they agreed to the settlement to avoid further litigation.
