Case Summary

This class action lawsuit is brought on behalf of individuals who worked as delivery drivers and were classified as independent contractors for Henry Industries, Inc. in the state of California between January 9, 2012 and September 23, 2014, under a particular cartage contract version which was revised on October 14, 2013. Bryan Schwartz Law, P.C. and Hoffman Employment Lawyers represent Plaintiffs Raymond Amenya, Conan Behr, and Carla Ervin who allege that Henry Industries failed to provide off-duty meal periods as well as meal and rest breaks, and violated other California wage and hour laws. The Alameda County Superior Court granted preliminary approval of a class-wide settlement of the wage and hour claims on August 4, 2016.

The Court ordered final approval of the settlement on January 13, 2017.
