Cordrey et al. v. Mills

Case No. 22CV011159 (Alameda Co.)

Bryan Schwartz Law, P.C. and Nichols Kaster, LLP announce that Alameda County Superior Court has granted final approval of a settlement of a consumer class action lawsuit. Mills College and Northeastern University will pay $1.25 million to 405 former Mills College students over alleged misrepresentations regarding the merger of the two schools. The plaintiffs claimed they faced hardship from Mills College’s closure as an independent institution and women’s college. While Mills College and Northeastern University continue to deny the claims, they agreed to the settlement to avoid litigation.
