Case Summary

This class action lawsuit is brought on behalf of individuals who worked as Real Estate Evaluators and Appraisal Review Officers and were classified as exempt from overtime by Branch Banking and Trust Company (“BB&T”) since April 15, 2013. Bryan Schwartz Law, P.C. and local counsel Schall & Barasch LLC represent Plaintiffs Phillip Karali and Gregory Shelley who allege that BB&T failed to pay overtime to class members. The United States District Court for the State of New Jersey granted conditional certification of a class under the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”) and approved class-wide notice of the lawsuit. In order to seek recovery through this FLSA action, class members must affirmatively opt into this case by July 31, 2017, and may do so by sending Plaintiffs’ counsel a completed consent form. Plaintiffs’ counsel may be reached at:
