2026-2027 Joseph V. Kaplan Workers Rights Fellowship

Bryan Schwartz Law is one of the top plaintiffs’-side employment law firms in California dedicated to helping employees protect their rights in the workplace. Mr. Schwartz and his firm have fought to prohibit wage theft, discrimination, retaliation, and harassment. We have obtained reasonable accommodations for disabled employees, vindicated whistleblowers’ rights, and ensured that corporations treat and compensate employees fairly. We also represent many federal workers, who especially need support now, and have a suit against the Trump administration pending asserting constitutional and Administrative Procedure Act claims on their behalf.

For more information on the types of cases that Bryan Schwartz Law handles, check out our website: www.BryanSchwartzLaw.com.

We are looking for a detail oriented, dedicated candidate with a strong commitment to social justice to join our growing firm for this exciting learning opportunity. Our firm is a small, tight-knit team, and Fellows will work closely with other attorneys on their ongoing cases and will be responsible for their own caseload as well. Job duties include conducting all phases of representation to workers in discrimination, whistleblower, wage/hour, and other individual, collective, and class litigation, from intake through complaint filing, discovery, trial, appeal, and resolution.

The Fellowship is a full-time, one-year position beginning after the California Bar exam in 2026. Fellows who perform well at Bryan Schwartz Law during their fellowship may be eligible to transition to working as an Associate Attorney after their fellowship period ends.

Recent law school graduates who plan to take the California Bar Exam are strongly encouraged to apply.

Excellent work ethic, research, writing, and interpersonal skills are mandatory. Solid references and high academic qualifications sought. Judicial clerkship experience and diverse backgrounds are highly valued. Experience in employment litigation and foreign language skills are a plus!

Please email our Office Manager Grace Wiedl, but do not call about this posting: grace@bryanschwartzlaw.com.
