Dylan Colbert

Dylan Colbert is the Joseph V. Kaplan Workers’ Rights Fellow at Bryan Schwartz Law. She is the second recipient of the Joseph V. Kaplan Workers’ Rights Fellowship, intended to train recent law school graduates dedicated to worker justice.

Ms. Colbert graduated from UC Berkeley School of Law with a Public Interest and Social Justice certificate. While in law school, Ms. Colbert served as the Submissions Editor of the Berkeley Journal of Gender, Law Justice and was active in the Berkeley Queer Caucus. She served as a student advocate at the East Bay Community Law Center’s Health and Welfare Clinic, providing comprehensive support for low-income Bay Area residents receiving public benefits. She was a law clerk at Disability Rights California, where she worked with people with intellectual disabilities to enforce and protect their rights. She also served as a legal intern for the intersex advocacy group interACT. She volunteered with the Legal Aid at Work Workers’ Rights Disability Law Clinic, a student-run program assisting workers with disabilities in California.

Prior to attending law school, Ms. Colbert was engaged in social activism for women, the queer community, and people with disabilities in upstate New York, New York City, and Amsterdam. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Skidmore College.
