Chubb LTD accused of not paying appraisers overtime wages

“Chubb LTD accused of not paying appraisers overtime wages”
Northern California Record, June 24, 2016

by Wadi Reformado

SAN FRANCISCO – A Redwood City man claims he and other appraisers were not paid overtime and has filed a class-action lawsuit.

Greg Boesch filed a complaint on behalf of others similarly situated and on behalf of the general public on June 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Chubb LTD, doing business as Chubb Group of Insurance Cos., Federal Insurance Co. alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours and performed off-the-clock work but was not paid any overtime wages. The plaintiff holds Chubb LTD, Federal Insurance Co.; and Does 1-50 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay overtime compensation to plaintiff for all his hours worked in excess of 40 hours per work week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all unpaid wages, liquidated damages, interest, restitution, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Bryan J. Schwartz and Logan Starr of Bryan Schwartz Law, P.C. in Oakland.
