Bryan Schwartz Law, P.C. Principal Appointed to California Employment Lawyers Association Executive Board
April 25, 2013 Oakland – Bryan Schwartz, who founded the Oakland firm that bears his name in 2009, has just been appointed to the Executive Board of the California Employment Lawyers Association. CELA is the state’s leading organization of workers’ rights advocates, with over 1,000 members around the state.
Mr. Schwartz, who has served since 2009 on the State Bar of California’s Labor and Employment Law Section Executive Committee as a member, conference chair, and advisor, has also been a long-time leader in CELA. He has co-chaired the group’s Diversity Committee, spearheaded efforts to provide fellowships to diverse law students to join the plaintiffs’ employment Bar, and authored amicus curiae briefs and letters to the California Supreme Court on CELA’s behalf regarding several of the most impactful California employment cases in recent memory. Schwartz has also spoken at numerous CELA conferences and programs, in addition to serving as Secretary of CELA’s non-profit foundation, FAIR.
