Bryan Schwartz Law, P.C. Welcomes Attorney Logan Talbot to the Oakland-Based Civil Rights, Employment Law Firm
February 1, 2017, Oakland – Bryan Schwartz Law, P.C. is pleased to welcome Logan Talbot to the firm as an Associate Attorney. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Talbot served one year as a Civil Rights Fellow at California’s Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH), the state’s public civil rights agency.
Mr. Talbot graduated from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (“Boalt Hall”) in 2014, where he was recognized as a Harry S. Truman Scholar. As a law student, Mr. Talbot clerked for the Southern Poverty Law Center where he conducted research for a novel lawsuit against a “conversion therapy” organization that resulted in a ruling that “therapy” aimed at changing a person’s sexual orientation is fraud. At DFEH, Mr. Talbot successfully negotiated over $375,000 in monetary relief for his clients in individual housing and employment discrimination cases. As part of one settlement, Mr. Talbot drafted DFEH compliance guidance for employers of transgender employees.
Mr. Talbot is a 2011 graduate of the University of Alabama-Birmingham in Birmingham, Alabama.
