Hillary Benham-Baker joined Bryan Schwartz Law in 2009. Ms. Benham-Baker is a tireless advocate on behalf of employees who have suffered unlawful treatment from their employers such as discrimination, whistleblower retaliation or wage theft. Ms. Benham-Baker has represented clients in trial court and appellate matters on state, federal, and administrative levels.

Ms. Benham-Baker is a volunteer Supervising Attorney with the Legal Aid Society—Employment Law Center's Workers' Rights Clinic and a member of the California Employment Lawyers Association Legislative Committee. She is also a volunteer tutor to an elementary school student with Boost! West Oakland (boostoakland.org).

Ms. Benham-Baker served as an Extern to the Honorable Claudia Wilken in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California in 2008. While attending University of California Hastings College of the Law, Ms. Benham-Baker worked as a law clerk at several plaintiff-side civil rights and employment law firms, including: Goldstein, Demchak, Baller, Borgen, and Dardarian; Lewis, Feinberg, Lee, Renaker, and Jackson; and Nichols Kaster. Ms. Benham-Baker also worked as a research assistant at the Center for WorkLife Law and was an intern with the American Civil Liberties Union of Northern California, Racial Justice Project. Ms. Benham-Baker was also a Street Law teacher at Mandela High School in Oakland, California.
